I agree with @dko22 about what he used to say in his comment above.
Personally, since I started with DAW-like notation software Overture 5 and then Dorico Pro 3, Cubase became a tool only for recording live instruments and post production. Currently for composing, arranging and orchestrating music I’m using mostly Dorico Pro.
So, if you can afford to record with up to 4 singers, surely you could get far better results than with EWQL, but if you can’t afford it, then @dko22 and @Romanos may help you to get the best result out of the virtual choir.
