New computer-porting over settings

I’m moving to a new computer and would like some advice as which aspects of my old settings that I should NOT port over.

I have read that the preferences is one of those things that doesn’t translate well to a new system.

I’d like to move templates, keystrokes and a few other items.

I have Nuendo 10.3 and am not changing versions and both computers are Windows 10 Pro.

Thanks for any help with this.

I usually only move over plug in settings, usualy on the plug in manufacturer’s format, so it is compatible across DAWs.

I never use templates, but many friends of mine do, they usually take a day or so to rebuild their templates from scratch on any new DAW, rather than try to just reuse older ones. Avoiding issues with obsolete things inside their templates.

Basically, the safest is to just start from scratch.
