Hi to all,
I am all in for a new controller, but i think it’s not something that steinberg is going to do.
I think that the main reason for this is:
Competitors
there are a lot of competitors that are also making controller.
Price point
The controller has to be affordable to reach a large group. The margin on the controller is very small. So this means that they have to sale a lot controller to earn there money back. This equals a lot of energie that they have to put in selling these controller.
Research and advertisement
Research and advertisement will also cost a lot of money and time.
I think the CMC controller was something done out of love and they just wanted to try. The CMC controllers are discontinued because they saw that it wasn’t as a big succes. It’s not that they don’t want to release a another controller, it’s just a big risk and they just have to put there money where it’s making money.
This is my idea and let me reply myself i am all in for a nice controller, but the changes are very small.
