Hello out there… So i just got my new asus rogue i7 quad core yesterday, 16g ram and ssd with win 8.1. And when i run cubase 7.5 with GA 4 it struggles and pops with just 3 tracks. Which was happening on my old duo core, hence the upgrade !!

Is WiFi turned off? What is the audio buffer latency set at? Try increasing it a little.

Ok . Im using a roland UA~ 25 E X audio interface 24 bit
Wi fi is now off but still same problems.
My buffer was at 6 …input latency 10,544 ourput 13,537
I lowered it to a 3 input went down to 6,000 output to 5,170 but now it crackles constantly.
This seems weird, i was hoping to plug and go…
Sorry, I read that wrong, I did increase it to 17,000 …and the pops almost stopped.! Thanks.
My average performance load in the transport reads about 80 % and sometimes red lines…but this is progress.
My cpu is only at 4% …memory 20% but there are 97 processes going on. ?is that normal in win 8.?
