With new folder tracks behaviour I can draw automation on the folder track:
but if I enable show data I loose the automation curve on the track, if I hit on show automation I´m first presented the Mute lane which I have to switch to Volume lane to see the volume automation.
This isnt a cool workflow.

I´d love to still see the volume curve on the folder track as I can see it in any track.

Why the event on folder track is empty?
Hi,
This is common behaviour. The 1st automation track is Volume. The 2nd automation track is Mute.
Which event do you mean? The 1st or the 2nd one?
“This is common behaviour. The 1st automation track is Volume. The 2nd automation track is Mute”
I mean over the event that is on the folder track itself, I’d want to see the curve there as in the first screenshot
Hi,
You can show either the automation curve or the Folder Event.
the event that is on the folder track
Hi,
There are 2 of them on your screenshot. None of them is empty. The 1st one is doing Events of track 4; the 2nd is showing events of tracks 3 and 4. Exactly as it is on the arrangement.
but they are blank no waveform or anything showing data if the folder is collapsed
Hi,
There cannot be waveform, as these are Instrument Tracks, no Audio Tracks.
Moreover, the Folder never showed the waveform, or MIDI data, in the expanded view, as far as I know. It can show the data details only in the collapsed view.
Expanded:
Collapsed:
your collapsed view shows data, mine shows nothing, just a blank rectangle the same as shown in my second screenshot
In Preferences you have to check “show event details”
