(…with a variety of other tangential bits)
Just posting this here for anyone interested; some months ago, I started co-producing a podcast with film sound industry veteran, Dr Neil Hillman (he has about 1000 credits on IMDB). We are exploring a wide range of topics with some heavy hitters in our interviews (we’ve had several Oscar and Academy Award winners on mic). Our aim is to release in-depth interviews that get to the heart of both technical and creative decisions that go into making sound for film. We most recently had a two part episode with Production Sound Mixer, Simon Hayes on his work on films such as No Time to Die and Wicked. Our last episode was with Supervising Sound Editor, Stephen Griffiths where we focused entirely on the Todd Field film Tár. I’m editing our next episode right now on the healing power of metal music (truly).

I’m doing all the edits in WaveLab and finding it invaluable for long-form podcasts (it’s all about ripple editing). I’ve been using Hindenburg for the past decade but the tools and stability presented within WaveLab are far superior.
Also, we are just starting out, haven’t really promoted it yet and open to any feedback anyone in the industry might have about structure or content. Please feel free to pop me a message with constructive criticism.
