New MIDI chord entry problem

For years, I have used my MIDI keyboard to enter chord symbols. It was very simple: shift-Q, then play chords on my keyboard and Dorico would enter the symbol. This does not happen anymore in version 6. Either it does not enter anything (95% of the time), or occasionally it enters the wrong chord (for example, I play A, C, F expecting Dorico to enter F/A, but instead enters Am #5).

And yes, MIDI chord entry is enabled, and the keyboard is recognized as it does note entry as usual.

Any words of wisdom? Is this a new “feature?”

It is working here for me. Windows 11 up to date, Dorico up to date. A, C, F entered with shift+Q shows F/A - regardless of key signature.

I have restarted multiple times, and even installed this week’s update. It does not work for me at all. I have disabled and reenabled again midi chord entry, but nothing works. I am glad it is working for you on Windows…it does not work on Mac.

I get F/A.

What key is active in that section of your music?

I have an identical problem.
