New Paragraph Style default

In Application Preferences, I have “Kepler Std” as my Default text font family.
In Paragraph Styles, I have “Kepler Std” as my Default Text style.

However, when I create a new style, I get “Academico”. Is this a bug?

Edit: I’m blind, I should be using ‘New from selection’.

No, I don’t think so, but the UX can be improved somewhat I think.

While you can edit ‘Default Text’, Dorico still has an internal “super-default” style.
When you create a new paragraph style, it applies the “super-default” style.
However, you can set the style to inherit from your Default Text style (rather than unset by default).

Here’s where the annoying part comes in: after setting to inherit from your Default Text style, every option is ticked (as to change the setting with respect to the inhered parent), and you need to untick everything (except what you wish to alter of course).
