Hi there
Sometimes I run into the problem of starting Nuendo with an empty project. To address this, I’ve created a default folder. But when I decide to save the project permanently, select “Save As,” and save it to a new folder, the new project still retains the original location—for example, for audio files.
What do I need to do to ensure the project is completely moved? Is the only way to do this by creating a backup?
P.S. Just found out, in the project settings the path is correct. But in the Pool it still shows the old path. A bug and if not, how to change?
The pool probably shows where your existing files are and changing the project folder doesn’t automatically transfer the files. You could try “prepare archive” which should import files outside of the project folder you have set into it, including audio files.
Tried, but not working. I’m starting to get the feeling this is actually a bug. I’ll try testing it with Cubase 13. When I try to create a “Prepare Archive,” I get the message, “The project folder contains all files referenced by the pool!” Which isn’t true, because those files are in the old folder.
Hmmm… no idea then. I’ve only ever used the “backup” function for transfers.
Yes, will do now the same. Cubase the same. Thanks again.
You need to save the project, to a different location and then move it to another location and reopen it.
Thanks emotive, will try this.
P.S. Unbelievable, it really works
P.P.S. Ah no, rendered wav file not moved
Ok, but the combination of yours and Mattias solution works. So after moving you have to do prepare archive. This moves the audio file to the new location. Easier at the end seems to be, to do at once a backup. But good to know there are several ways to do it.
