Hi all,
Ive just started looking into using the Projects properly now since they were added, but having an issue with the location for a new montage in a project:
It keeps adding a subfolder ‘longfile’ into the filepath - this is a folder i used a while back for the montage renders and it may have creeped in somehow when experimenting but how can I remove it? Pic added below, can’t seem to find a reference to the folder in the preferences:
Edit: actually two sub folders montage and longfile. Apologies
This happens no matter where i create the new project though, each time when selecting ‘Project Location’ for the montage save location the subfolder ‘longfile’ is always added to the path.
This must be because your current project is located in this location.
Don’t misunderstand “Audio Montage” and “Project”. These are two very different things.
I understand the difference between a project and montage. Maybe if i explain the order of moves here it may help.
Create a new Project from the start up assistant
Asked to Configure the new project, call it NEW and I can place it anywhere. Let’s say C:\Clients\
In the new empty File Group tab, i’ll create a new montage where i will get the screen similar to the above, i.e C:\Clients\NEW\montages\ longfile
Cant seem to find a way to change where this longfile text is being appended to the path by default.
If I follow through the above chain of actions, I get the following folder structure:
C\Clients\New\ which has NEW.wpr, system.wpr and then a folder ‘montages’ which contains ‘longfile’ folder > NewMontage (name of the montage itself in this example) > which then has NewMontage.mon inside.
So the location of the montage is quite longwinded but does match the path additions that appear by default in Project Locations i.e montages\longfile\
Would be good to figure out how to remove the montages\longfiles addition, is this in the preferences somewhere?
