The one thing for me that still makes paper better for composing is that I can have a whole orchestral chart in front of me and have zero latency on the piano. As a workaround I’ve always had two soundcards, one devoted to the notation program/playback and another one running a separate stand-alone piano. This allows me to compose more naturally without having to deal with the huge lag on large orchestral playback. The issue of course is that when I play the piano I also get whichever instrument is also selected in Dorico. So the request:
Could we please have a shortcut for Mute the main output of the mixer. I have assigned multiple things on my keyboard to control Play, replay, forward, next flow, etc. But there doesn’t appear to be a Mute All option in the commands.
