# New text objects automatically "dirty"

In my project, new text items are automatically and immediately marked with the asterisk that shows their appearance has been altered from the default. 1. Why? and 2. how do I stop it? Thanks!

Also, if I Reset Appearance on one of these text objects, and then edit its content, it shows an asterisk in the status bar once again.

Does this happen in all projects, or just one? If it’s just one, can you upload a cut down version that demonstrates the issue?

By editing its content, do you mean simply deleting/typing text? Or changing other typographical settings (bold/italic/baseline shift)?
