New to Cubase

Midi Editing.

This might be basic, but, how do you quantize your midi notes? and where can I find the length of my midi notes?

Aloha c, and welcome to the board.

how do you quantize your midi notes?

Select the note(s) in the ‘Key Editor’
Then go to: ‘Menu’—>‘Edit’—>‘Quantize’.
Depending on yer set-up there may also be a ‘Q’ button in the toolbar
for this.

Tip:
A ‘Key Command’ can also be set-up for this function.

Also keep in mind that Cubase gives you several ways to quantize stuff.
Best to check the manual on diff approaches.

and where can I find the length of my midi notes?

In the ‘Info Line’ above the Editor Window.

Good Luck!

I’m on Cubase 5.1, and I can see the number for the position of the note, but not the length, and there is no Menu menu, went into Edit, but no quantize in there. Are you talking about the main menu’s in Cubase or is this an menu within the midi editor somewhere.
