Could I update to the new version of TOOLS for UR-C for MacOS if I use public beta driver 4.0.3b? Is it compatible with the new tools version? Or should I wait for the new version of the USB driver or tools? Could you please let me know where you intend to share updates about the new MacOS driver?
Just updated and now there is a new app installed called, “DeviceCenter”. Besides it’s not working and was added as a startup item (which I have undone), what is it good for anyway? Cannot find anything about it when searching the web.
The update says that:
The hardware can now be controlled from an Elgato Stream Deck via Device Center. (A separate plugin must be downloaded from Elgato Marketplace.)
And I uninstalled it

I don’t have Elgato Stream Deck.
So then simply do not install the Elgato plugin, that is optional.

Why would I need the Device Center app if I don’t have a device suitable for it?
Indeed, strange and thanks for clarification
The page is only in deutch…?
the installer don’t install 4.0 version of dspMixUR-C
there isn’t a choice of install Device manager (elgato) and in background start the service…
What’s happen Steinberg???
I don’t understand this kind of choice, is not a professional choice
The Hardware and Software is now built and supported by Yamaha directly.
This page is in english
The linked page shows the current releases of all included content, which is not necessarily all 4.0.
The installer installs the Devices Manager automatically, there is nothing to start in the background. You need to download the Elgato plugin from their Marketplace seperately.
I don’t want device manager and Elgato,
why you decided that all the people want this?
The Device Manager can be deselected in the Installer and there is nothing installed from Elgato. That is something you have to do explicitly by going to the Elgato Marketplace, so that is your personal decision.
This is a user forum, so no one here has decided that. You need to ask Yamaha why they think you need it.
