sorry for this newbee question, but I couldn’t get it answered elsewhere.
I’m looking to buy an inexpensive audio interface for my Mac. Mainly for hi-quality playback, with the occasional hi-quality recording.
Will the CI1 act as a normal Mac plug and play system playback interface that will play anything from iTunes to VLC, like for instance the very cheap Behringer U-Control?
A while ago I tested a similar device from M-Audio that I couln’t get to play back system sound, only input/output in professional audio editing software, which is also required but not my main use scenario.
Installing drivers is no hurdle. I just want to know if it will act as I want afterwards.
