You can see it in the menu bar on the top left.

The little star shows that the project has been modified. After <Ctrl|Cmd> S it looks like this

Project Info is just metadata in the project file. When you save the file, the data is saved as well.

Since you’re a former Finale user, I’m surprised you’re surprised about this. In Finale, this would be the File Info tab in the Score manager. The title you put in there would be the title displayed in your score, which is completely independent of the filename. Dorico’s Project info has more options, but the principle is exactly the same.

TBH, as a more than 30-year Finale user, I had not noticed that before! I always used the Text Tool to insert my titles in the score. Wow; wish I had known that years ago before ditching Finale! Thanks.

Thank you for the explanation. I used Finale mostly for lead sheets or piano vocal arrangements of songs. I did not explore every possible feature available; Score Manager was something I was not really aware of. There are a few things in Finale that I’ve learned more about from Jason Loffredo’s video series Conquering the Transition than I did from my own independent work. I am not an expert in computer work. I do learn things better now than I did 20 years ago. I do sometimes get lost because of some erroneous assumption I have made. I appreciate the help from this forum and other sources.
