Next/Prev parameter bank does not work with Halion 7 or Groove agent 5.. but does with Retrolouge

Hi,

I am using midi remote ‘instrument parameters’ on my Komplete Kontrol Mk3 Keyboard.

I have 8 encoders assigned to “selected track > instruments parameters 1 - 8” on the midi remote.

I have 2 buttons assigned to “next / prev parameter banks”.

This works great with retrolouge, padshop etc.. essentially any VST that has the parameters pre-assigned in the remote control editor.

However, not so with Halion and Groove Agent.

Halion and Groove Agent do not natively assign parameters to the remote control editor. Therefore, I am required to assign the parameters using (right click) “assign to new automation”.

I have done this in Halion and Groove Agent. I assigned 16 parameters to the remote control editor.

When I do this the first 8 encoders work perfectly but the next/prev parameters bank buttons do not work.

Has anyone else expereinced this with either of these instruments ? or any other instrument that does not natively provide the parameters to the remote control editor?

Please tell me if im not making sense

Nope, it works as expected.
However, a short note on this: Whenever we make changes using the remote editor, the MIDI Remote doesn’t recognise them immediately at the track you’re currently working. If you create another track, having the instrument that you just edited the parameters’ grid, the changes should take place, and so should happen upon restarting Cubase. This is a known and reported issue.

Thankyou for your reply m.c

I reassigned the next / prev parameter banks in midi remote and its now working as expected

Cheers
