Next previous tracks ignore lanes of a track

When a track is unfolded with multiple lanes, using the remote editor, when the lanes become selected, the track becomes unselected. The current mapping eg mapped to insert fx now is empty

I have noticed this too and find it quite annoying. I think MIDI Remote should interpret a selected Automation Track as its parent track is selected.

Why oh why are so many things not operating in the context of a working environment…who is testing this stuff??? No offense intended to the hard working beta guys though
Absolutely common sense!

Why is there no vote widget?
OK its only on the subject…got it

Great questions. When Cubase 12 came out, the major selling point for me was MIDI Remote. Unfortunately Steinberg failed to mention in their advertisement that this new feature wasn’t finished. Users were told to have patience and understanding as MR was “a work in progress”. Then comes Cubase 13 with basically zero updates to MR. I dread that it will end up yet another half baked feature that never sees its full potential.

It does certainly have great potential and it really is a great start…enough of a feature to really get stuff going but I dont see any amazing things out there tbh (demo of surfaces done in the editor). Ive been waiting for Dom to rip something…but nothing of substance yet.
The Steinies also need to look at editors like Remotify etc…John has done great work on that for such a difficult task. I do python now but that got me started.
