My cowriter sent me a file from his Cubase files with a project in it so that I could add a vocal track to it. I added it then went to file and backed it up., created a new folder and located it in iCLoud. I tried to send it via We Transfer and when he opened it, files were missing. There were to be mix down folder, edits folder, images folder, audio folder, track pictures folder. He only received audio folder, images folder, track pictures folder and the Cubase project. I have worked with my IT guy to help and we keep seeing “missing files” when we search to see what’s wrong. Why isnt it sending a complete folder?
Hi and welcome to the forum,
Do the File > Back up Project first. This will make a new folder and put all (and only) related audio files into it. Then share this new folder.
HI Martin!
Thank you… we are having a problem finding all the files. When we create a new folder, we make sure to click iCloud files first so we can locate all of them and we are still not finding the edits file and thr mixdown file. I did not mixdown the file but backed it up.
Hi,
Did you use the Back up Project function, please?
I did.
Hi,
Could you describe step by step, what did you do, please?
Hi again!
After watching the cube base videos and starting from scratch, I had to reinstall the program and then I made sure the right bus was added for my in to mono and my outdoor stereo using Niamh 88M and also that my driver was turned to 88M, the Neve Then I went in and created a new project went into audio and click that to create a vocal track after I have my inspector up in my vocal track and I turned the color orange just because I wanted to parentheses a little humor here parentheses I then tested out Singing and it recorded and it did playback after that I went up to file and I backed it up when I created a new folder and I also saved it and put a title and then hit OK or enter. I wanted to find her and went into my documents as that’s where I saved it in documents and found it and then went to WeTransfer and uploaded that folder that I found in documents. It still only had three files in it so I sent it and hopefully my co-writer on the other end receiving this can open it up in here the audio track.
Hi,
Did you place the new project in a new folder?
What exactly do you mean by this?
What exactly did you do here? Did you put the project (*.cpr) file to a new folder by any chance?
Did you also see the Audio subfolder?
I clicked documents first and created a new folder
