Newly downloaded Dorico 5 on Windows, but when working in it there’s no sound at all. I don’t hear anything for inputting or playback and when I export a wav file there’s nothing there either. Initially I had no options for selecting anything in the device setup, but I installed Halion through the Steinberg download helper and now I can select my headphones for an output, but there’s still no sound.

Try (re)applying a Plaback Template from the Play menu.
The only playback template I have is silence. Where can I find other ones? Did I miss a download somewhere?

Actually, the diagnostics show me, that you don’t have any VSTinstrument installed, not even HALion Sonic.
So could you please go to the Steinberg Download Manager and install again Dorico as well as all other listed contents packs. Probably best to click on the Install All button.
And yes, some contents packs are really big, but they are needed for a decent playback experience.
