NO AUDIO AUDITIONING with Control Room on or off

Hi Supporters. Running Cubase pro 8.0.10 … when auditioning with the mouse icon set to speaker (play) or scrub i hear the MIDI and VST instruments (MIDI) alright, but there’s no sound with the mouse icon (speaker selected) from the audio tracks. Control Room Mixer button on or off makes no difference. My Focusrite audio interface is working properly, and routed OK on the VST connections Studio page (Monitor 1 Device Port routed) … Is this a bug or am i missing something here. It worked before with 7.5 … PS just saw someone posted this bug on Youtube already: - YouTube

That’s odd I tried using this method as well but nothing budges in regards to sound…how did it work for you?
