Hi there, I have installed everthing and I am trying to record records into cubase through my AG06. I have all drivers etc installed and have them in active mode in Cubase. I can hear the records playing through the AG06, however, when I make a channel and try and record the music, it does not come through at all.
I am using a Mac updated to Sequoia. Anyone have any idea what is going on? I have spent about 5 hours on and off trying to get this to work and I am stumped!
Make sure Cubase has enabled Mic in the System Preferences, please.
Open macOS System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Microphone. Enable Cubase here.
Could you show your mic privacy settings with Cubase enabled please…I know you said you did it but this problem has all the hallmarks of this not being done.
Another thing to try is seeing if you can get audio into another program (QT player for example) from the Yammy…this will confirm if the problem is Cubase or Mixer/OSX settings.
Does your Mic requires Phantom power by any chance?
Of course, you should add a Mono Audio Track instead of the Stereo Track and you should use Input 1 only. But with the Stereo Track, you should hear/see the signal on the left channel too.
I have just tested Yamaha AG06 on my side on Mac and it works.
Line buttons? This is only the AG06 model… simple, yet when it works, effective..
I am starting to think it is an OSX issue, rather than a Cubase issue. I have thrown out a question for help in Apple community to see if anyone has a work around but nothing yet.
Thanks for your attempt at help! Gutted that I cannot get this hardware to work!
I have tried with line button depressed and not… Still the same issue… This is doing my head in!
Unfortunately I cannot find troubleshooting in the yamaha site or maual for this device anywhere either…
Thanks for your persistence and help.
OMG!!! It works!!! You are a legend! Thank you so much!!
One more question and I will never bother you again, promise… It is now recording I can see audio in but when I play it, I cannot hear it back. Can you tell me what to set my output in audio connections to so that I can hear it?
