No audio record from MIDI

Hi,

My version of cubase (6 AI) has the weird habit to change settings at random, causing me to look through a lot of menu’s at a regular basis.

My problem right now:
I try to record piano via cubase. This used to work just fine. Recording MIDI goes fine. Playing MIDI through synth works fine, but when I try recording audio from MIDI, it gives no signal.


My setup:
Yamaha MX61 synthesizer
Windows 7 64-bits
Cubase AI 6

What do you mean by “record audio from MIDI”?

Could you explain a little further what it is you are trying to accomplish?

Are you trying to convert the output of a VST instrument to a permanent audio file?
