No audio signal in Cubase 6 Focusrite Saffire 6

Can anybody help me with my problem.

I have no in or out audio signal using asio from Focusrite Saffire 6.
Midi works fine.

I’ve spent 12 hours looking on the internet trying to find what’s wrong.

Hello Fredric and welcome here in “the family”

  1. You need to install the Asio-Driver for your Focusrite Saffire 6
  2. Go to “Devices”/“Device Setup”/VST Audio System
  3. Select the Asio-Driver of Saffire 6
Further you should see all the Ins and Outs on the right (maybe without any cross in the frames)
  4. Press OK
  5. Go to “Devices”/“VST Connections” if it isn’t already selected click on “Inputs”
  6. Click on “Add Bus” - install min. 1 Stereo Input Bus and assign the Inputs you would like to use. (at Device Port)
  7. Click on “Outputs”
  8. Click on Add Bus and install min. 1 Stereo Output Bus “Master left/right” and assign afterwards the outputs you want to have as Cubase’s Master Output
  9. Close the window and reopen “Devices”/“Device Setup”/VST Audio System.
You should now see that the ports (you have selected before) got a cross here.
  10. If you don’t hear any sound now, you should search the fault within your Saffire Audio Interface.

Hope that helped…

I wish you a lot of success!

I have a liquid 56. I find the Saffire Drivers very complex and easy to misunderstand, a quick call to tech got me set up.

Thank you very much.

I’ve done all the stuff above at least four times.
I’ve also installed new drivers.

When importing a wave file into cubase it doesn’t even show signal in the transport bar.
Midi signals works just fine, but something is very wrong with audio.
Have worked with cubase before and a lexicon lambda and there were never any problems.

I will try to reinstall the saffire and do the steps above once again…
