No break in playback after fermata

First of all, I have to put in a good word here for Dorico’s layout abilities. Once again, I did not have to do any manual adjustment - with a global settings tweak or two, Dorico spaced everything out just like I wanted it. I was particularly impressed (and relieved :slightly_smiling_face:) that I didn’t have to touch the last few bars.

In playback, however, I have one issue. I’m puzzled as to why the second fermata, on the word “skies”, just before verse 3, is not breaking after the hold. I would like a pause there. I do not have the fermata set to “Hold only”. Can someone see what I’m doing wrong?

Thanks!

The cause is the playback of repeats. If you deactivate Play repeats on the Repeats page of Library > Playback Options, you’ll hear the gap as expected. This looks like a bug to me, and I’ll investigate when I get a chance.

Thanks for looking into it! That does make the bird’s eye play as expected. Of course, I would like it to play the fermata correctly and play the repeat, but it’s not important. I’ll wait and see if you find a fix for it sometime.
