The upper part is a VST3 instance, the lower one VST2.

Looks like this a Spectrasonic “feature” …
it has nothing to do with the VST version…
Native Instruments Kontakt is a VST3 plugin and has that feature, but Massive X don’t has it…
This is strange. For a time ago I got a picture, but now the symbol is going away
