No Humanization found in VSL VSTi

I am new to Dorico and have a general sort of question. When a series of Expression Maps that comprise a Playback Template includes Dorico humanization, does that mean the any humanization that might exist in the VSTi (VSL in this instance) is removed? I am finding this statement to be true as there are no humanization sections when I open up the VSL VSTi.

I would like to use the VSL VSTi humanization. Can I? How?

Thanks…

Check the MIX tab?

No. Not unless you put them there. See here:

Humanization elements can be controlled from an expression map, if you have an idea of what you want to happen, but chances are you will need to create player techniques that enable you to get at these directly.

Oh, and humanization options may differ from one instrument, or product line, to another.

Thanks for the replies !

Sorry, PERFORM tab.

Yes. In the Performance tab, you should see a slider with a CC associated with it. In your expression map, you can add that cc with the value you want to any (or all) of your different articulations.

Thanks !
