Hello guys, new here. I recently upgraded my sound card from M-audio delta 66 to Audient id4 .
Though i have it all set up, in cubase 5, when i plug in my guitar i can hear the sound through the monitors (i have signal on the master meter) but no signal on the channel meter, so i can’t record anything. That’s happening in mono channels. in stereo i can record but the plugins don’t work neither when recording nor on playback. I am sure i am doing something wrong but i don’t know what…
Any help would be much appreciated.

I’m not sure if I understand your problem… maybe there is more than one problem involved.
To see the level on a track, it has to be record enabled or the monitor button needs to lit.
If you can hear something without this, this could indicate that the interface mixes a cue mix itself.

The track is record enabled and the monitor button is lit. It all looks in order but still i get no sound.
I had the same settings with my old card and it was working just fine…
I dont know what is going on…
