Posted this in the Cubase forum but got no reaction. So I try here.
When in Cubase Pro 15 the colors of the Cubase Tracks no longer follow to SpectraLayers Pro 12 ARA.
That is, all layers are now white in SpectraLayers in ARA mode and thus the spectrograms are uncolored/white. It’s not possible to change the colors inside SpectraLayers (never was). Makes it hard to edit more than one Cubase Track/Part at a time in SL ARA.
I suppose this is a bug in the new Cubase Pro 15, since it wasn’t like this in previous versions but no one seems to have noticed over at the Cubase forum.
A green or a red Track in Cubase 15 will open as white Layers in SL12 ARA. Makes it very difficult to differentiate between the Layers when all of them are white…
I use SLP 12 in Cubase 15 in ARA mode and with composite (summing) view mode on all layers in the layers panel appear as green when Turbo colour mapping is selected. This colour changes when you select different colour mappings. With composite mode off all layers show the colours of the cubase tracks.
Picture 1 composite mode on with colour mapping set to Turbo.
I’ve written support and am waiting for an answer.
It seems that SL can’t show any color but white if the Parts chosen in Cubase 15 have the same color as the Track on which they reside. That is, green Part on green Track shows as white in SL. But red Part on green Track shows as red. On so on.
