No midi signal out of cubase

I’ve just installed a complete new station with a mac studio and motu mk5 interface with a fresh new cubase 14 daw…

the midi keyboard is connected with the usb cable, and the daw recieves the signal, but I can’t seem to find how to send the recorded midi from the daw to the external synth.
the mk5 does not appear to receive the signal from the daw.

I’ve been working with the google AI and tried all veriety of problem solving, but still no change.
anyone has a clue??

Hi and welcome to the forum,

Is your Mac Studio M-processor-based? If yes, is the MOTU MK5 Apple Silicon compatible? If not, you have to start Cubase in Rosetta mode.

Is the MOTU actually available as a midi destination?

as far as I know, it is apple silicon compatible.

and the motu is visible as a midi destination. when I play midi the motu indicates as it sends the midi signal, but it is not recieved in the external synth

If the motu indicator flashes that it’s sending midi on playback (should be indicating the out not in) then the issue has to be after or in the motu.

Confirm you connected outs to ins, you’re sending correct midi channel and try a different cable.

thank you for your help.

I have resolved the issue, by reseting the mk5
