No Midi

Hi guys, thank you for your help in advance.

I’m having an issue with midi …
I’m using a guitar synth GR-55 (Roland) and Focusrite Scarlett 18i20, with Cubase 9 Artist.
With audio I’m ok, so I can record the synth via Audio.

With Midi, I am getting a signal into Cubase … can hear the instrument, but when I record, there is no recording of the midi.
I have connected midi cables from my synth Out to In on Focusrite, and In from Focusrite to Out on the synh.

What else do I need to do in order to record Midi …??

Hi,

Make sure MIDI or Instrument track is created and used for the recording. Make sure Record is enabled on the track. Make sure All MIDI Inputs is selected as a MIDI input. Can you see the signal while recording (track meters)? Can you hear anything?

Hi There,

I got the same issue there, using Cubase Pro 9, UR 242, with a Komplete Kontrol s25 as a Midi and have the same problem. I did all of what was told above and still there is no recording input.
