No more Halion and Groove Agent playback after 6.2 update

After the 6.2 update all Halion and Groove Agent instruments do not playback. In Playmate, in the Track Inspector it says !!Halion Sonic!! and !!Groove Agent!! It seems to be wrong in all my arrangements. I used the standard procedure in the update.

Did anyone else had this problem? And does anyone know a solution?

Would you please first choose from Dorico’s menu Help > Create Diagnostic Report and attach the corresponding zip file to a reply here? From the contained logs and things I can give further advice.

Hi Rob,
I don’t know why, but somehow HALion Sonic and Groove Agent ended up on the block list with you. Let’s try something simple first:

  • Go to the Dorico preferences dialog, choose on the left the VST Plug-ins tab
  • Scroll all the way down
  • Press the Clear Audio Engine Cache button
  • Close the dialog and restart Dorico
  • If still not found, please provide a new diagnostic report

Great to hear.

Leaves the question why it did not work in first place,
but unfortunately I have no answer to that.
