I have upgraded my cubebase elements 14 to 15 on a new laptop computer. Asus Vivobook Pro 15. i9 Proc. 16 GB Ram . 6GB VRam. 1 TER Hard SSD Drive. I have a Behringer X1622 Mixer. I am using the USB port on the mixer into a C port on my Asus laptop. The mixer records into cubebase ok, the wav image is showing in the track and the output meters are showing but nothing is showing in the mixer meters… there is no sound. I instantly thought it was the drivers but keep trying things out but nothing works. I am running windows 11 . The speaker drivers are realtel 64. I have uploaded Screenshots. Hope someone can help me with this.
Your windows and Cubase are set to different outputs at the moment…so not 100% sure what speakers you want to listen on…computer or connected to mixer??

What do you mean by the mixer meters? If the stereo out shows signal of playback then the track level meters should definitely show something too
I have one voice audio microphone going into the Behringer mixer and the signal is showing on the meters in the Behringer mixer. Cubase is not receiving or showing any signal going into the Cubase mixing console, so it is not recording when I arm the track
If I copy-paste an already recorded audio track into Cubase, it plays back into my Behringer mixer through the speakers and headphones, so that seems ok. It’s the recording into Cubase that is the problem. I have other software programs that I use in windows and they play back ok. I have enclosed new screenshots of windows and cubase. I am not a tech person so thank you very much for your help.
In Cubase connections in the input section under (Audio Device) it’s saying Not Connected. If I click on that it’s showing (Steinberg built in Asio Driver) but it won’t allow me to connect it.
Under(Device Port) it’s not showing any microphone drivers.
In windows something is wrong on this page. Where it says Speakers it used to say it twice and there were two radio button. It also said Microphone twice and have two radion buttons. But now they are not there something as changed.
Got the windows page back like it was originally so that seem ok. Cubase plays audio back but won’t record. These are the screen shot. has anuone had this trouble with USB Audio Codec before? Im really desperate to sort this out.
You mean in windows audio…that shouldn’t affect anything in Cubase…the Steinberg asio driver is showing the correct ins and outs.
I see though that the driver is set to 48k but your Cubase project seems to be 44.1. Likely WIndows is forcing that 48k setting.
This mismatch should just play/record at wrong speed but possibly it’s locking the device trying to switch sample rates or something. Set windows to work at 44.1 or set Cubase to 48k and see if it helps.
I have just noticed when when I go into the Input output section on the side of the track and press the PLUS symbol to create a new track, in the menu it is saying microphone array there is no USB Audio CODEC in the menu. would this be the problem
The add track dialogue should only show the name of the input bus you have set up in audio connections…so “stereo”…so not sure where/what you mean by this.
Are you absolutely sure that your mixer is set up correctly to send the audio over usb?
