Hi,
I have recently switched to a new MacBook Pro, and upon launching Dorico have encountered some issues with playback. ive watched the playback troubleshooting video that ive seen attached in other posts with the same issue, but it doesn’t solve my issue. The instruments are loading correctly into HALion but are producing no sound, and also aren’t causing the level meter in HALion to move at all, suggesting that it is an issue with the sounds themselves?
I have also tried downloading all the available Dorico 3.5 updates and sound library installations from the download assistant, and while they have downloaded, they won’t actually open and pop up with an error message.
Hi, please go to Edit > Device Setup, is the Built-in Audio driver selected there? If so, then click on the Device Control Panel button, a new little window appears. Are the output ports enabled (tick marked like in the screenshot)
I have done this and now get audio for some instruments, but upon opening a different project with different instruments there is now a pop up message stating “some audio files are missing. please check installation.”
This is a screenshot of the download assistant. I was having trouble with my licensor (which is on a memory stick) so I reactivated it from the elicensor control centre on my Mac. then I downloaded the four things listed on the right but other than the pdf none will open.
The sound installer comes up with the error message I sent previously and the other two come up with a different error message suggesting that I re-download them, which I have tried but hasn’t worked.
In SDA, could you click on the down-arrow next to the “Open” button, and then choose “Open Folder”. That should open the folder where each installer has been downloaded to. Then could you try running the installer directly (instead of getting SDA to do it).
For the eLicenser, you can download the most up-to-date version from elicenser.net
Thankyou, I have done this and now downloaded it directly but still get the error message stating “some audio files are missing. please check installation” when I open a project.
Could you post a screenshot of that “some audio files are missing” error? Also, could you do Help > Create Diagnostic Report when you are running Dorico, and post the diagnostic report file here?
Unfortunately I can only post one thing on this forum at a time, and I’ve been timed out for 2 hours, but here is the diagnostic report. Dorico Diagnostics.zip (1.7 MB)
