"No Ports Available"

Following a recent Windows 11 Update I have had problems with Cubase and Dorico crashing or freezing. I seem to have resolved that problem but on trying to reactivate my midi keyboard (Novation MK4 49) it shows the scripts but on trying to set thje input/output it comes up “No Ports Available” I have spent hours trying to fix but to no avail. I am using Cubase Pro 15.

Can someone help me??

Not working on anything Dorico, Standalone Halion and Groove Agent

Join the MIDI Discord server Windows MIDI / Audio as mentioned in the pinned post in announcements. Read the #start-here post and start a new thread as directed to help you out.

There are no known issues with the Novation devices, but you may have other devices installed, or have uninstalled a KORG driver, etc.

Thanks.

Hi Pete thanks for your response. I have got the app but not sure how it helps. You need to remember I’m a retired musician and although reasonably tech savy im not a computer genius and need it spelt out so to speak. If i have read it right us there a new update on the horizon that resolves the issue?

I have no idea what your issue is. It could be any number of things. The #start-here post also states where to ask questions, including a link.

Not asking anyone to be overly tech savvy, just read some basic info and then ask a question in the right place.

It’s a ton more work for me to track and help on DAW-specific forums. Trying to get folks to work with me on MIDI-specific issues on Windows MIDI / Audio

Is there to be a Windows cumulative update to resolve the problem?
