In VST Live 2, the preset list is empty, same for all the other Strymon plugins.
Would have expected VST Live 2 to see the presets if Cubase 14 can see them - or is this something in the responsibility of the plugin creator (so do I would have to contact Strymon)?
I copied the Strymon presets from the default location for shared VST3 factory presets ([disk]/Library/Audio/Presets/[company]/[plugin]/) to the default location for VST3 user presets ([disk]/Users/[username]/Library/Audio/Presets/[company]/[plugin]/).
Now the presets are shown properly for Deco and DIG and I can also save new presets:
Unfortunately, this of course now shows every preset twice in Cubase 14, as the factory and user locations are merged into one list. So I will for now remove/rename the factory preset folders for these plugins.
But at least that’s a workaround, but still strange that the plugins behave differently in Cubase than in VST Live …
One additional glitch: I guess that the area with the preset selection controls (between the window top bar and the plugin UI) is added by VST Live. This works fine for DIG and El Capistan as seen in the screenshot above with the preset selector, load/save controls, quick controls etc. all visible.
For the Deco plugin, the same area is completely black:
However, when I click in the locations where I would expect the respective controls, it sort of works, at least the preset list is shown and clicking on the invisible load/save button works, too:
