Since my update to dorico 5.1.51, I can no longer influence the printout. After triggering the print command at the bottom left or right, it automatically starts printing in black and rear tray. I miss the appearance of the printer driver window with options. Does anyone know what to do?
(Printer: Epson ET-8500 / Driver: print fab / Mac: Ventura 13.6.9)
There haven’t been any changes in printing in Dorico 5.1.51. You should find that the options on the right-hand side in Print mode still work just as they always did. Dorico doesn’t provide direct access to options for choosing your tray etc., but you can use the Print button in the bottom left-hand corner to access the standard macOS Print dialog – though you are more limited in terms of things like booklet printing etc. in there.
Thank you very much, Daniel. I have found a (the) way. In Print Mode: Select an instrument / click Print at the bottom LEFT : Printerdriver options appear! (NEW! Previously the printer started printing the WHOLE project here.) Now NOTHING happens when pressing ‘Print’ in the printer options window, except that the desired options are established. Bravo! Now I can print as desired with the printer button at the bottom RIGHT, after selecting the desired flows, and the desired result is delivered. Bravo too!
So this was helpful for me, a newbie. I do have another issue that I have found: the Duplex Printing settings in Dorico do not affect my printer’s duplex settings at all. For example, if I select One side only in the Dorico tool area on the right, my printer still defaults to double sided printing. The opposite is also true. I am using an HP Officejet Pro 8600 if that helps to troubleshoot.
