No signal input Cubase Essentials 14

Hello everybody,
i already search this forum an some others too, but couldn’t find a solution to my problem yet:

I installed Cubase Essentials on my macbook. As interface I use an Steinberg UR44C, but I can’t get an In-Signal. The routing is as far as I can say correct. I tried the same routing in Garageband, and I get an in- and out-signal there (I can record an play back). So it has to be an issue of cubase.
On my Windows -PC Cubase 10 is working fine with the same interface, too.

Has anybody an idea, what I can do?

No…It’s a Mac issue. They block mic (includes all audio input) access on newer o/s and you need to allow per app.
