No sound and no flow titles

I hope someone can help. I have recently upgraded to a new MacBook Pro, M5 chip, macOS Tahoe 26.5.2 and Dorico Pro 6 Version 6.2.30.6245 (May 29 2026). Everything worked well at first. Recently no Dorico files have any sound. This includes existing projects and new projects. I am in the middle of a big project and quite stressed!

Another annoyance is that Flow titles are not showing. I think I have everything set up correctly. I have attached a recent project.

Flow titles are under Library->Layout Options->Page Setup->Flows.
It plays back fine here with Noteperformer. Did you try reapplying the playback template under Play->Playback Template. If that’s not helping, maybe check Edit->Device Setup.

Hi Jesper Thanks for responding so quickly. Edit > Device Setup fixed the problem. However it only works if I select MacBook Pro speakers. If I select external headphones and plug in the 3.5mm cable to speakers there is no sound. I cannot figure out why. But at least there is sound through the internal speakers.

I knew the place to get flow headings to show. I turned it off and back on again and now it works!

Good, as for the headphones, there have been several threads about that, if you search the forum. But mostly problems with Bluetooth, I think.

IIRC Dorico can only find audio devices that are connected when the application starts up. And it doesn’t follow system settings either, go to Preferences > Play and scroll down to set it for Dorico specifically.
