Hi, I’m new to Dorico and I’ve been pretty unhappy with how the system has been running. I recently found out my playback has no sound, and I’ve checked all of my sound settings and my driver. I’ve tried everything on the internet with no avail, I just purchased Dorico and I feel like I shouldn’t be having problems already. Any advice on how to fix this?
Welcome to the forum, @max.key.gage. I’m sorry to hear you’re having problems with playback. Can you please do Help > Create Diagnostic Report from within Dorico and attach the resulting zip file here? That should start to give us some clues as to what might be going on.
Sure thing! Here
Dorico Diagnostics.zip (976.6 KB)
Hi @max.key.gage ,
please go to Edit > Device Setup and there click the Device Control Panel button, a new little window will open. In there please check that the output ports are actually enabled like in the shown picture:
If they are, then please load a project that should make sound and create another diagnostic report. Thanks
I already checked my output and this isn’t the problem. Here is a new diagnostic report.

Thanks for the new data, but I’m still puzzled, because from the log data and so on, I see no reason why there should not be coming sound out from your system.
When you hit the play button, is there no indication in the HALion editor window that MIDI arrives or some level meter is flickering?
The midi light is flickering and everything seems fine, but I think the problem is with my halion. When I worked on the ‘Learn’ section on my dashboard, the piano playback sound worked, but none of my projects have sound yet.
