No sound is happening during playback, and even looking at the mixer I don’t see that the instrument is being played at all. I have HALion sonic installed and when opening one of the default piano scores, I see the piano instrument in HALion but it doesn’t make any sound. When making a new score, I don’t see the instrument in HALion. I don’t have anything muted either.
have you tried reapplying the Playback Template from the Play menu?
Welcome to the forum, @dharper0410. The first thing to try is going to Edit > Device Setup and ensuring that you have an appropriate audio device chosen. If you’re on Windows, make sure you have Steinberg Built-in ASIO Driver chosen. You can click the Device Control Panel button to see the options for this driver, and make sure that an appropriate output on your computer is chosen.
If this doesn’t help, can you please do Help > Create Diagnostic Report and attach the resulting zip file here?

Sorry for the late reply. Trying to change the audio device did fix it for the sample Bach score that comes with the software, but did not work when trying to play a score that I imported from Musescore.
If you are now getting playback in general but not for a specific project or projects, try opening the troublesome project, then go to Play > Playback Template, choose one of the factory playback templates, and click Apply and Close.
