No sound from Dorico except GM. Halion SonicSE suddenly stopped working. How can I fix this?
This can sometimes happen when Dorico quits unexpectedly or crashes (rare event); in that case the audio engine process(es) may well be effectively hung/widowed. A machine reboot usually fixes.
If GM is still doing, that means that the audio engine is still running.
Difficult to say why HSSE stopped working. I’d first try reinstalling.
If it still does not do, please choose from Dorico’s main menu Help > Create Diagnostic Report. That will create a zip file on your desktop containing log information. Please send it to u dot stoermer at steinberg dot de. Then I can get some deeper insights and give better advice.
