Let’s start with something simple:

  • Start the Terminal.app either by doing a Spotlight search. Press the Apple key and space bar at the same time, the Spotlight widget will come up. In there just type “terminal” (without the quotes) and hit the return or enter key. That will open a Terminal window.
  • Copy and paste the following command into the Terminal window and hit return/enter
find /Library/Application\ Support/Steinberg/Content -ls > ~/Desktop/SMTGContents.txt
  • That should create the new file SMTGContents.txt on your Desktop
  • Zip up that text file and attach to a reply here.

In the future, attaching a text file would be preferable to copy/pasting the raw text in the message itself.

I’m sorry, but I don’t seem to have Spotlight. I managed to open Terminal though, but don’t really know how to open a window of the right kind?
Sorry for my ignorance.

Hi Ulf! I got the message that you´re on vacation the next two weeks. I just want you to know that I am still interested in solving the problem of no sound in Halion Sonic, so I´ll get back to you after the two weeks if I haven´t solved it until then.
