No sound in Audio Editor window ??

Hi Folks.

I’m playing around with the Cubase 9.5.21 trial version.

So I imported an mp3 file into an Audio track in the main window. Using the transport controls I can play the Audio as expected, sounds great.

I doubleclick the Audio track which brings up an Audio Editor in the Lower Zone of the main window. In the Audio Editor window toolbar I click the Audition button. The cursor moves but I hear no sound. I then click the Acoustic Feedback button, still no sound. I then click the Play button, still no sound.

Is this normal ?? Which button am I not clicking to get sound in the Audio Editor window ?

Fixed by trashing preferences in

C:\Users\accountID\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\Cubase 9.5_64
