No Sound in Cubase 13

Hi I recently downloaded Cubase 13 trial version to try it out. I have mainly been using FL studio. When I downloaded and started the program I was not getting any sound from the VSTs such as LABS or any of the stock ones. So I went and looked and the most common solution was to change the selected driver. I did and it worked but it’s not as I want it to be. Currently the only drivers that work are “Generic Low Latency ASIO driver” and the FL studio one. If I want to switch to Cubase I don’t want to keep FL studio installed since that would be a waste of space. As for the low latency asio driver it does work but is messes with the audio for the rest of my pc when I alt tab and I like to listen to videos when I am noodling.

All the connections are active in the Audio Connections window. It’s worth noting that when I use the ASIO4allV2 driver I don’t get any sound but the blue meter lights up when I press keys.

I am not using any special equipment just a mouse and computer keyboard and a DAC/Amp. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to these forums !

The first thing that we would like to know, I think, is the audio interface used and if there is a dedicated ASIO driver for it. Beside this, what OS ?

Hi I’m using Windows 10. All I’m using is the Fiio K5 pro connected via USB and a pair of headphones. I was able to get sound from the ASIO4allV2 driver but I seem to have broke the FL Studio driver in the process. Also is there any way to stop these setting from interfering with the audio on the rest of my PC? I want to have Youtube videos playing in the background but every time I select a driver they all interfere with spotify and Youtube

As far as I can see FL Studio allows to use two different kind of drivers: ASIO and Direct Sound. Did you use an ASIO driver in FL Studio or a Direct Sound driver?
