Hi
Dorico 5 - no sound, I updated from 4.
Hi @Ben_Harlan,
please create a new project from piano template, add a few arbitrary notes and then do from the menu Help > Create Diagnostic Report and post the corresponding zip file in a reply here. Thanks

Hi
Thanks for getting back to me - now Dorico 5 works when I start a new project, no idea why. But if I try to open a project created in Dorico 4 it still does the weird metronome sound for every note and only offers Note Performer in Play - Routing. Even though it says HALion in the Preferences.
I have attached the diagnostics from when I tried to open a Dorico 4 project. I hope that helps.
Thanks
Ben
For an existing project that doesn’t play back as expected, try doing Play > Playback Template, choosing one of the factory templates (or indeed NotePerformer) and clicking Apply and Close. Hopefully that will kick the project back into life.
I just had a look at the diagnostics and HALion Sonic gets detected. If that what Daniel suggests does not work either, maybe this article brings the solution.
Great, fixed, Dorico 5 now working with HALion, thanks for your help with that.
Now, if I try to go back to using Note Performer in Dorico 5 that won’t work - I try changing it in the Playback Template but no sound - not even the metronome clicking. Any suggestions please? It says !!Note Performer!! in the Routing -I guess the !! means there’s an issue somewhere?
I attach diagnostics for this related issue

Hm, NotePerformer does not get detected, not even in the previous diagnostics that you posted before. I guess you need to install it again.
