Hi All,
does anyone have a solution for the following problem?:
I record Midi with a VI , i can hear the sound and see the midi notes, but there´s no sound coming out of this channel during playback ( Midi notes are visible). That usually happens with duplicated tracks ( e.g. i have a VI track, duplicated it, then try to record it ). Thank you , Tilo
Hi,
Double check the Preferences > MIDI > MIDI Filter, please. By default only SysEx is filtered out (filter enabled) for both Record and Thru.
Hi Martin,
thank you for that tip - i checked that. It seems to be just as you wrote. I sent you a screenshot of my midi filter settings anyway. Meanwhile i found out, that if i record the VI- Midi Notes and then save and reopen the project, i can hear them. It only seems to appear with duplicated tracks of tracks, that were deactivated before ( I use templates with lots of deactivated tracks with instruments i eventually want to use. I usually duplicate the tracks i want to use, reactivate them and then that thing happens - I´m on Mac OS 10.13, maybe that is an issue too? Anyway found a workaround so far
Thank you for your help
Tilo
Hi,
Then you might reach the known and already reported issue. Which Cubase version exactly do you use, please?
Hi Martin, im using Cubase 9.0.0 on Mac OS 10.13.
If i remember right i had the same issue with Cubase 10 (I switched back to C9 because i like the UI more)
Hi,
I would definitely recommend to use the latest Cubase 9.0 update. Was it 9.0.40/60/70? I don’t remember.
If you tried to disable Cubase preferences, please?
Hi Martin,
I use Cubase 9.0.0, but i downloaded the 9.0.40 Update now, maybe that´ll do
Thank you
Tilo
