Hi
I am using cubase ai4 and when i dissolve a part, eg a drum beat, into separate parts there is no sound on playback of the individual parts.
Also how can i then return the dissolved parts back into one track?

Is the original midi track set to “Any” in the midi channel setting? you should also make sure the dissolved parts are correctly assigned to the original vsti.
To recombine the separated parts use “Bounce midi”
