Dear Forum,
When “Play” is pressed, I see the cursor moving rhythmically but there is no sound. This happened all of a sudden out of the blue. Does anyone know what the solution to this is? I attach a copy of my song.

It plays back fine for me. Do you have playback enabled?
Same here, plays fine for me, but I know what is wrong on your end, @songcycles .
Go to Edit > Device Setup and you will see that there is no entry in the Stereo Output field. To fix that click on the Device Control Panel button, yet another little window opens and in there make sure that the output port is enabled, see also attached picture:
