I have no sound on Metallaphone when using “Orff Instruments.” I have viewed a few youtube videos about this as well as read a bunch and I still haven’t found the answer. I would try to describe it what I did but it was all so complicated that I really can’t keep the details clear as to what I actually did try. I tried one solution that crippled the entire program which took me quite a while longer just to get Dorico to run again at all.
There probably isn’t any sound library for Metallophone, so you might have to select a Vibraphone or something else for the sound. Just because Dorico knows about a lot of instruments doesn’t mean there are sound libraries for them all.

Thanks for the input. That makes sense. I have attempted to do that, but the interface was quite confusing and I must have done something wrong because now nothing plays.
Dorico substitutes a Glockenspiel sound for the Orff Metallophones.
Hi, thanks for jumping in to help. I have a question: if you do Orff arrangements on Dorico can you actually play them back? I am new to it and some notes will play back but some won’t. I have an arrangement that will play the higher “c” but not the lower “c”. The recorders play but the bass metallaphone doesn’t. I am just trying to figure out if this is normal or if others can actually play back their arrangements without too much difficulty.
